Collimation refers to the process of limiting the x-ray beam to the area of interest to minimize exposure to surrounding tissues and reduce scatter radiation. By focusing the x-ray beam on the specific area being imaged, collimation reduces the amount of radiation the patient receives, which helps in minimizing the risk of radiation.

I’ve had an excellent experience with Surdel Chiropractic in Surrey, BC. Dr. Chris Gilmore is professional, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain things clearly. The chiropractic care I received has helped with my lower back and hip pain, especially after a workout incident that made it very painful for me to move around. I also had a digital X-ray done at the clinic. This really helped me see and better understand what was contributing to the issues in my lower back and hip. Melanie at the front desk is super friendly, and the clinic is very accommodating to deal with. In my experience, Dr. Gilmore is one of the best chiropractors in Surrey! I have never written a review before. However, I felt compelled to write one. I was experiencing severe lower back pain. My husband suggested I go see Dr. Gilmore. He fit me in even though he was fully booked for that day. He did a few adjustments and it definitely helped alleviate my discomfort. I have had follow up appointments and can definitely see an improvement.. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is experiencing pain in their back. I have been going to surdel chiropractic (Doctor Chris Gilmore) for 5 years now. Within the first session my pintch nerve was fixed, I went from a pretty bad posture hunchback to full upright pain free. Never had a pitch Never since. 5 adjustments every session without fail. It's life changing treatment for less then 20 minutes. As a teenager the orthopedic surgeons were going to use the knife, Doctor Gilmore did it pain free with his hands.
