About Dr. Chris Gilmore

Dr. Gilmore is a chiropractor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions involving the spinal joints, muscles, nerves, and other soft tissues.

Dr. Chris Gilmore has been in private practice since he graduated from Western States Chiropractic University in December 1996.

In March 1998, he opened Surdel Chiropractic and he has been serving the Surrey and Delta communities since that time. Dr. Gilmore has diagnosed and successfully treated numerous neuromusculoskeletal conditions in this time period including fractures, dislocations, subluxations, concussions, sprains/strains, disc herniations, pinched nerves, and headaches.

At Surdel Chiropractic, Dr. Chris Gilmore utilizes 3 different techniques: 1) low force chiropractic, 2) spinal manipulation, and 3) sports therapy. Dr. Gilmore will design a specific treatment program to suit each individual's needs. He offers both acute care programs for pain relief and corrective care programs for spinal correction. Dr. Gilmore is a diverse practitioner that uses spinal adjustments and soft tissue techniques combined with mobilization and therapeutic exercises to reduce pain and restore function. The initial goal of Dr. Gilmore is to eliminate the pain. Once the pain has subsided, Dr. Gilmore educates the patient on strengthening the area of injury in order to stabilize the condition and avoid a future exacerbation of the injury. Also, the patient is educated on mechanisms of injury, appropriate posture, pain reduction strategies, and ergonomics. This enables the patient to reduce the stress on the area of injury.
